How I destress: yoga, rollerblade, paint, read, walk, meditate, music, journal

I recently received my Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition in May 2019. I previously worked at Strong Hearts Cardiac Rehab as a Medical Assistant and Yoga Instructor. During the summers, I work as a Pool Manager at the Elk Grove Park District.

Using yoga and nutrition as my foundation, I have discovered a whole different side to the healthcare field and functional medicine. I'd like to take my experiences and further my career in the community by creating and implementing wellness programs.

One thing is for certain - healing is our own responsibility, no matter where the wound came from. And I believe the community is the greatest tool we can use to make change. Change starts within each and every one of us, and when a community comes together as one, the greatest healing and change will take place.

This quote by Marianne Williamson perfectly sums up my philosophy: "In every community, there is work to be done. In every nation, there are wounds to heal. In every heart, there is the power to do it."
